Stories and Legends
In the Faroes, we love stories and legends and you can find many of these on Eysturoy.
In many of the tales, we meet creatures like elves, trolls, witches, and giants.
On this site, you can read tales about the sorceress from Oyndarfjørður, a merman in Elduvík, a feared farmer from Skála, and Grímur Kamban, the first person to settle in the Faroe Islands.
