Tour in May: Feed & Eat
What can you expect?
• A warm welcome at the farm residence in Selatrað.
• Introduction to our farm’s history and Faroese sheep farming in general.
• Preparation for the feeding session, including filling up buckets with forage.
• Feeding session: a short walk or a ride in a specially made feeding-carriage, (back of a tractor).
• Witnessing big herds of sheep following the tractor to the feeding spots. Getting up close and personal
with the sheep, observing lambs running and playing while ewes are being fed.
• Duration of whole tour is about 2,5 – 3 hours.
• A traditional meal served, made with ingredients, mainly from the farm’s own produce.

Tour in June: Cuisine & Tales
What can you expect?
• A warm welcome at the farm residence in Selatrað.
• Introduction to our farm’s history and Faroese sheep farming in general.
• Feeding-event of rams.
• A guided walk, trough the peaceful village of Selatrað, over to historical outfield.
• Storytelling about local cultural history.
• A meal served at the farm residence, made with ingredients mainly from the farm’s own produce.
• Duration of whole tour is about 2,5 – 3 hours

 

Tour in July: Work & Eat
What can you expect?
• A warm welcome at the farm residence in Selatrað.
• Introduction to our farm’s history and Faroese sheep farming in general.
• Preparation and introduction to the task of the day.
• Possible tasks: Repairing the fences, hay-making, shearing the sheep, repairing sheep-shelters, building
up peat sheds etc. The tasks can vary and are determined by the weather. See updates on lamb.fo/July.
• Duration of whole tour is about 2,5 – 3 hours.
• A meal served with a choice of traditional faroese appetizers, made with ingredients, mainly from our
farm’s own produce.
