Hanusarstova

A taste of farm life and faroese home-grown hospitality

Home hospitality at the farmer couple’s Harriet and John av Gørðum’s place. The menu varies, but is composed of local ingredients, especially lamb and herbs that are grown on the farm as much as possible.

They strive to serve food from their own farm and the surrounding area. Their menu always includes free-range lamb, eggs from their own chickens and ducks, homemade cakes made with their own eggs, as well as farm-grown potatoes and rhubarb. During the summer months, they also grow herbs and salads while continuing to expand their vegetable garden.

It is also possible to go on a bóndagarðsuppliving - or farm tour, visit the farm, where guests are given a guided tour, get very close to the animals, and enjoy a drink afterwards.
